Please be courteous and update your RSVP at least 24 hours before an event. Repeated "no shows" for our events may result in your loss of membership.
Please fill out the Introduction & Interests sections and add a photo of yourself. This will make it easier for us to find each other at events. Thanks!

Greetings, Single Parents!!!
Are you a single divorced, widowed or adoptee parent? Having a hard time finding that balance between parenting and social life? Feeling like a fifth wheel between your married and single/never married friends? Looking for new activities to do with your kids as well as new friends who share your experiences and conundrums as a single parent?
If so, we'd love to invite you over to our group, the
West Side Single Moms and Dads!
The
WSSMD is a friendly, diverse, active and fun group of single parent individuals and their kids on the West Side of Cleveland (we even have some east side members and some that come from as far away as Sandusky!), who have come together to share in our experiences and build long lasting friendships, as well as enrich the lives of our kids! All are welcome: single divorced, adoptee, widowed, never-married, custodial or non-custodial: single parents are single parents, and we all share a common bond!
As we all know, being a single parent can be a tough order of business. Getting back out there during or after a divorce or other life-changing event to make new friends and find fun, new and safe places for your kids to interact with other kids can be hard to do with a busy schedule. So, if you're looking for a group who "gets" where you've been and what you're going through, and that holds fun, diverse kid-friendly events, drop on by and check us out!
Many of our single parent members have uploaded photos from our past events to give you an idea of some of the places we've been, so check 'em out! We hold a variety of events, from Metroparks outings and playground events, to Cedar Point and mini-road trips to interesting local places! We also try to design events that as many age groups as possible can enjoy (the group has ages ranging from toddlers all the way up to teenagers!) No dues or pressure, just fun with your kids, as well as other single parents in your situation! All that being said, we're looking forward to meeting you and your kids soon! Come on over and see what we're all about!
"Single parent" doesn't have to mean on your own!!!

Rock climbing is an incredibly fun activity. There are some great indoor rock climbing facilities in the area that we will take advantage of throughout the year. In the summer we will be planning some outdoor rock climbing, with perhaps day trips or an overnight trip or two to the fantastic gorges in West Virginia. For the real adventurous, we will be planning a multi-day ice climbing trip during the winter months.
Members new to climbing are encouraged to attend the meetups. Most events will be ideal for new climbers. If there is an event geared towards more serious climbers, it will be clear in the description.
The indoor rock gyms and many of the outdoor locations will have routes geared towards new or novice climbers with what is called top-roping. In top-roping an anchor is set up at the summit of a route prior to the start of a climb. Rope is run through the anchor; one end attaches to the climber's harness and the other to the belayer, who keeps the rope taut during the climb and prevents falls. This type of climbing is widely regarded as the safest type of climbing. It is also the first type of climbing most people do when learning to climb, as it allows the climber to climb freely and the belayer to learn how to belay more proficiently. The belayer needs to be "certified" at the rock climbing gyms by passing a belay test.
Some get pretty nervous before climbing for the first time. During climbing, many participants might experience their first fall, or at the very least, their first hang on the rope. With a belayer, falling while climbing results in the climber simply hanging in the safety harness. Falling on purpose during the first time climbing usually shows new climbers that they won't get hurt should they lose their grip and fall. It's at this point that the new climber improves dramatically, because they realize that they're safe, and they worry more about reaching the top than falling. Just follow a few very simple safety rules and you'll have a blast.
Many people ask if you need to be in peak physical condition to rock climb. The answer is...it depends. Tough routes on outdoor granite can be physically and mentally demanding, testing a climber's strength, endurance, agility, and balance along with his or her mental control. Indoor rock climbing has routes that aren't as physically demanding and most people can "summit" many of these easier walls. Having said that, it is more enjoyable for those in condition simply because you have the stamina to climb several times and get your money's worth.
Speaking of money's worth, rock climbing is not free. Indoor gyms charge a fee (a "day pass") that will normally run $10-$15. On top of that, you will need to rent a harness and climbing shoes if you don't own your own. That typically runs about $10. We will try to chose night to climb when there are deals (for example, Kendall Cliffs has free equipment rentals on Monday and Wednesday nights). For some outdoor trips we may have a guide who would charge us a fixed fee that we would split.
For you more experienced climbers, obviously the rock gyms have many, many challenges. In addition we will be planning some outdoor climbing that will give you an opportunity for some multi-pitch climbs. Also, you will have the opportunity to lead some sport climbs or even do some trad climbing (neither of which I can do). Also, for those who are semi-experienced, we may organize some group lead climbing lessons through one of the indoor gyms.
So, c'mon, give it a try!
Rock on (pun intended).

Dogs...get your patron out of the House! Bring them to a Dog Romp! You know... your patron needs to get out more, socialize with other humans. So here's your chance to get your patron OFF THE LEASH!
Bring them here so they can let you go and become comfortable and secure in the fact that they won't lose you just because they let go of the leash! You know how those silly humans are always so scared they will get lost, and start calling your name every 5 seconds...
Well, at the DOG ROMP.... they talk with OTHER humans and forget about you for a few minutes so you don't have to always be checking in on them! Have them take you to Gibbs Meats in Columbia Station or Sundaes in the Park afterward for a nice treat. All the best --- Roxy, Rolex, and Timex your Dog Romp Hosts and Hostess!
- By signing up to HfH of Medina County through Meetup.com we will be able to keep you posted by e-mail when help is needed at the build site.

Hello everyone! This group is to support those of any age who are divorced, dealing with the many issues that divorce causes ... whether it be financial, children, dealing with ex's, dating AGAIN, etc ... just dealing with being single once again and all the issues that come with it. With the divorce rate so high, there are many of us who can use some support in getting our lives back together and helping others do the same!
I would like to start a group for older people who are mostly alone and need some fun and friendship in their lives. By fun I mostly mean dining out. As a serious arthritic, I am not into hiking, mountain climbing, harley riding, etc. I would like to fold my arthritic hand around a martini, have a nice dinner and some good conversation. I would like to get to know members better and possibly even become friends. This site is not a singles site.
We are a low-limit poker league playing No-Limit Texas Hold'em. Buy-ins range from $30 to $60.
Our regular tournaments are every 2 weeks on Saturday nights. We play three different types of NL Hold'em Tournaments on a rotating basis:
STT - Single Table Tournaments (like a sit-and-go, single elimination down to one winner PER TABLE)
MTT - Multi-Table Tournaments (single elimination down to one winner)
DS - Deep Stack Tournament (multi-table tourney with more starting chips & longer blind levels)
We also play cash games throughout the night when players are available. The buy-in for a cash game is in the range of $10 - $40, and the games played are usually dealer's choice.
Paid Members of the West Akron Poker League collect points for their play. Points are earned by participating and placing in the tournaments and knocking out other players.
The League's point leaders play for the BIG Money in our Final Table Championship held at the end of each League Season.
100% OF ALL BUY-INS ARE PAID OUT!
Special Note:
We are collecting canned goods for the Cleveland Food Bank and pet food for the Cleveland Animal Protective League & The City of Cleveland Kennel. Items collected through December. Please bring canned human/pet food to the next CFINO meeting or social.

Quote of the Week:
-------------------------
What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with a feeling of "humility." This is a genuinely religious feeling that has nothing to do with mysticism.

There are to date, 635 area people listing travel as one of their first meetup interests. Although there are wine groups that take overnight trips, hiking groups that take backpacking trips, and skiing groups that take skiing trips, there is no group specifically dedicated to taking trips just for the sake of traveling.
I am starting this group to see if the 635 of us can meet, figure out the various needs, and start planning anything from weekend and long weekend local or regional trips to international travel to budget travel to Eco travel. Perhaps there will be a need for a single travelers breakout group, perhaps a need for a subgroup or group for families looking to share vacation rentals-you know, those places on the beach that sleep 20 but are expensive. Maybe there is a bunch of people interested in tramping through Costa Rica in a non-luxury way. Perhaps the group should just be a regular meeting place for people looking for others to travel with. I don't know. But, we have to start somewhere! All ideas and thoughts welcome!
BUT, I am not a travel professional and those looking to advance their own agenda or promote a travel agency or travel services should NOT join this group. With the experience of 635 people we will fare nicely on our own, thank you. Anyone promoting travel services or agencies will be removed from the group.
About me-I have traveled extensively for work, mostly North, Central, and South America and Europe. I am a huge fan of the vacation rental versus a hotel or resort, am just as happy with a few day stint on Kelley's Island as I am with a 2 week international adventure as long as the traveling companions are also having a great time. I am willing to knock myself out to do 5 days including flight time in London just to shop for clothes but also dying to see Budapest and St. Petersburg on the cheap. I'd like to visit Port Renfrew again, and there are an awful lot of places in Ohio that I haven't been to that I would like to visit. Costa Rica is an obsession at the moment, as is Barbuda and Madagascar, although I doubt I will be forking over the airfare to the latter anytime soon (my FF miles won't get me there-I checked) but who knows?
So, lets organize and see where we need to go with it! I look forward to meeting everyone. And if anyone else has been to Port Renfrew-definitely join the group!
Meet local Poker faces to test your hand against in games and tournaments of Texas Hold 'em. This is a fun and friendly game of cards where both experienced and inexperienced poker plays alike can all feel welcome and enjoy the game of poker.
All tournaments and cash games are solely for the enjoyment/benefit of willing individuals. No individual or organization will profit from holding these games in order to comply with Ohio gambling laws. All tournament fees will be awarded to winning players. All games are privately held and are by invitation only if you have not received an invitation, you may request one from the organizer.
Meet local Spanish language and culture lovers for conversation and fun! Come to a Spanish Language Meetup and make new amigos as you practice speaking and listening! All ages and levels welcome.
PICKUP SOCCER CLE, (Futbol & Football) was started in Summer 2011 by a group of disheartened individuals, tired of playing in games with leagues and teams that took the sport WAY too seriously..... so seriously in fact that it took the fun out of the game for us and playing for sport, NOT just to win! We wanted to play informally when we wanted for fun. We also could not find pickup games in the Cleveland area. As a result we started this group. Our games are informal and recreational with an emphasis on NON-competitive play and open to all. PICKUP SOCCER CLE is an organized, co-ed recreational group that holds open soccer games year-round (Fall, Winter, Spring & Summer seasons). All games are held on full-sized grass/turf playing fields. Attendance is optional once you sign up and you can attend as few or as many games as you wish. Members of this group love soccer - all come together around a common love of the sport, no matter the skill level. The group is composed of players of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities - 18 years of age or older. We are not a league and do not compete against one another, nor do we use refs or officials. We moderate games ourselves making our own calls. We do not keep score. The group is open to all skill levels and our membership encompasses a mix of playing experience and abilities - from beginner, to collegiate to former pro... Please do not feel intimidated if you are "out of shape" (our #1 most popular inquiry intro statement) or have never played before! Each season we have multiple games to choose from, each with its own crowd and own unique character! If you have questions regarding the group or membership please contact us at: internationalallstar@gmail.com. Thanks for your interest! We hope to see you out there! PICKUP SOCCER CLE
New to the area? Not new to the area but looking to meet more like minded people? This group is just for that. It's been an adventure so far and we can't wait for you to join us on some future events! Please introduce yourself on the message board! See you soon!
Local Co-ed biking group ages 21 and up to ride bikes in a group setting. This is a non competitive group that is created to build social networks of bike riders. The idea is to get people out and form a "Trail Riding Community" statewide. I recently moved here from Connecticut and ran a successful meetup group there.I am the founder of that group and recently turned over the reins as it was hard to run a group out of state.
http://www.meetup.com/Manchester-Leisurely-Trail-Riders-A...
There will be all types of rides, from the metroparks, to the bridal trails, street riding, some off road including all times of day and night. I will personally make sure no rider will be left behind as we all know what it is like to start out. Distances and terrain will vary but I will come up with a grading scale so it will be easier for you to choose a ride that suits your needs. If anyone knows the trails and area, feel free to ask to be an organizer . This ride is open to people who want discuss sports, politics, careers, and complain about their spouses. Mountain bikers who are compared to Lance Armstrong, Greg Lamond, or anyone attempting "X-Games" stunts are NOT going to enjoy this leisure activity.
So if you feel like getting in shape, have a good sense of humor and want to meet new friends, welcome aboard!

The Akron Canton Spin Off Cyclists, offers rides on the Towpath Trail and area rail trails for people of all physical abilities. This group was founded by weight loss surgery patients who cycle for exercise, pleasure and fellowship with others. We welcome anyone who wants to cycle with a casual, slower paced group. We encourage our members to bring their families and friends on the ride.
Our weekly rides are designed with shorter rides for those just beginning to cycle with the option to extend the ride for the more seasoned cyclist. We offer longer rides on the weekend. These rides are excellent opportunities to explore Ohio from a different point of view.
Cycling is easier than most people imagine. It is an excellent form of exercise that yields some great benefits to your health and wellbeing. Why spend the evening or weekend in front of the TV when you can experience fresh air and nature with a fun group of people? We hope to see you on an upcoming ride!
OUR MISSION
Encourage a healthy and active lifestyle; and open the world of cycling to riders of all physical abilities in the Akron-Canton community. We accomplish this through bicycle trail rides that encourage self confidence and develop the riding skills of our members while providing opportunities for fitness, fun and friendship.
We find ourselves never needing a reason to finish a bottle of wine but needing a little push to finish that book on the nightstand, even if it is a good one. Join us for a monthly book and wine meetup where we can all enjoy a glass of wine and discuss the book of the month. In this club, we intend to read modern literature, chick literature, and some fluffier non- fiction. But don't worry, we aren't nearly as particular about our wine!
As an active member, please come prepared with a few book options to suggest for our next meetup!
*We have both and east and west meet-ups to accomodate everyone in the group! East meets the second Friday of the month and West meets the third Monday of the month. Contact Jenn or Tricia for more information about the Eastside and contact Kate for more information about the Westside. Each group is run independently!
If you just reached us while browsing Meetup.com, and have not yet visited our
official website, it is highly recommended that you do so before you join. We want to be sure that you know what you have found here, for you have not just stumbled upon another ordinary Meetup group! You have actually made a discovery of something truly unique, not only to the Cleveland area, but very possibly the world as a whole.
While it may be tempting at first to think that the CCGP is "just another Meetup group", it is important to realize that something this unique must exist, and will always exist, independently of Meetup.com.
The Cleveland Card Game Players (CCGP) is owned and operated by
TaroBear's Lair, North America's premier distributor of European regional playing cards and accessories.
TaroBear's Lair, which is based in Elyria, Ohio, subscribes to the services of Meetup.com to fill the social networking needs of the CCGP, such as its membership list management, event schedule, RSVP system, as well as to serve as a hub of communications for its members. It is where most of your online activity with the CCGP will be taking place.
Before you get swept away in all the activity here, please visit
our official website to learn all about us, and then come back here to join the group and sign up for your first event!

Little Hollywood Ohio is a film community. Our members have a very broad range of experience in filmmaking. We have members with little to no experience, and members that have been creating films for over a decade. With the combined experience of all of our members, we strive to share information, and try to make it a little easier for the indie film maker to access the resources they'll need to bring their projects to reality. With our group projects, LHO also teaches the art of indie film making through hands-on implementation of each members skills and talents. Becoming a member is easy. Come to a meeting, sign up and if you choose to participate in our projects, we'll fill you in on times, location and so on. There are no dues. More information can be found at our website, www.littlehollywoodohio.com.
This group is on temporary hold as I am running the Akron Poker league. If you would like to play some great poker with a great group of people please visit www.meetup.com/akronpokerleague
Thank you for your interest. I enjoy learning and playing the game of NL poker. It's definitely the more you know, the more you know that you don't know. I'm in my 5th year of 'learning' and I love the game, the shared common interest with other local players and the excursions to local and not-so-local places to play.
I realize that time is tight for myself and many other players in the area that take this game seriously.. and it is my dedication to offer the best and rewarding game(s) in the area. We have 2 professional tables and one has a ShuffleTech Shuffler installed in it! Our league games are run professionally and with as great an atmosphere as can be had. If you can only get out once a week or so to play, it is my goal to make this the one you want to go to.
We also run higher buy in and satellite games too. These are usually held on a Friday night and buy ins range from $100 to $250. These games will have professional dealers and food brought in.
This poker meetup is a HOME game and done for fun & learning. I strive for prefection and do not derrive income from this meetup. Please click on the Calendar section to see our next meetup!

Our original intent was to bring people together to fight the unconstitutional Great Lakes Water Compact designed after the United Nations Agenda 21 chapter 18 plan to control the fresh water of the USA and rob us of our constitutional private property rights. Now we have just kicked it up a notch to include ANYTHING that comes out of the United Nations Agenda 21 GLOBAL plan for the United States. This New World Order agenda has taken root in our great republic thru the use of state and local councils and boards known as NGOs or (non-governmental organizations). These groups advise our elected representatives concerning the introduction of new laws and regulations which always involves the loss of our constitutional rights and real property inclusive of our hard earned money, land, and natural resources, etc. Most Americans have no idea what is going on, or that our country and our lives are both being jeopardized by the (er-hem) innocent actions of a bunch of indoctrinated "do-gooders" set out to make this a "better world" and a global community (that most of us would much rather have nothing to do with) no matter what we think, or what part of the constitution they destroy. ~TW

Our playgroup is designed for small children (ages newborn-3 years old) and their mommies. We want to bring mothers together to share their experiences, have someone to talk to, express their opinions, and even make a friend or two! We also want our children to be able to socialize, learn from others, and interact with other children their age. We are located in the Greater Cleveland area, mainly Parma, Strongsville, Berea, Brunswick and surrounding areas.
We are mainly an event-based group but also have discussions as well. Most of our events are during the week during the daytime. Most of our moms are stay-at-home moms or work part-time. Our activities range from playdates to walks in the park to visiting zoos and museums. Our activities are mainly for small children and their mommies, but older children are welcome as well. We also try to have a mom's night out at least once a month.
We charge a fee of $5 every 6 months. This will be due within one month from the date of the first meetup you attend. That way, you get an opportunity to see if the group is a good fit for you before paying.
If you would like to join, please choose the "Join Us" link on our homepage. We require a picture and that you answer a few questions to join.
Please note: If you cannot attend at least one event in your first month of joining, you will be removed for privacy reasons.
I started this group as an outlet for other women out there who love to read. Lets get together and enjoy some adult time over a good book. See you soon!

The purpose of this group is to create community where people are powerfully and lovingly related.
Mindfulness is developed by purposefully paying attention in a non-judgmental way, to what is going on in your
body, your mind and in the world around you. We call this moment-to-moment awareness – mindfulness. It is about being awake and aware.
We will do a reading about mindfulness meditation, silent meditation for 20 minutes, then open for short comments on your meditation or the reading.
This group is free and open to the public, providing a space and a group of like-minded people for silent meditation.

Are you an 18-39 year old entrepreneur?
If so, read on as this group may be just what you're looking for.
If you've been beating your head against the wall because of financial restraints, lack of support from family and friends, lack of knowledge about starting a business, etc. the NEO Entrepreneur's Group can help. By being a member of our group, you'll receive free or very low cost access to support, master-mind groups, coaching, and other resources that successful entrepreneurs need. Members will also get access to networking opportunities, potential partnerships, and more. Whether you own a business, are part of the family business, or are contemplating starting a business, you are welcome here.
Maybe you've started a small business in the North East Ohio area and found that you lacked support, and you didn't have tons of money to pay for accountants, lawyers, business coaches, web designers, SEO experts, and many other things vital to success in the business world. You can grow your business without this kind of access, but don't you think you'd be farther ahead if you had access to at least some of these services?
If you're like most young entrepreneurs, your friends probably just don't get it. They probably have their full-time jobs and they're satisfied living in the 9-5 world. That's ok; going into business for one's self is not for everyone.
You've heard it before – in order to be successful, you must surround yourself with positive, supportive, like-minded people. Your business may be experiencing some growth and success, but there are probably a few lessons that perhaps you could have been avoided by getting a little support from more experienced individuals. Maybe you've talked about starting a business but you're finding that you'd like to have a safety net (if there is such a thing as safety in today's job market...lol). Again, this group may be the right place for you.
Why is this group limited to people age 18-39?
Although there are many things we can learn from someone who is 40+, we are in a unique situation to work with and support each other in the following ways:
1) Many people in our age range are not quite on their feet yet and cannot afford to pay for legal advice, web designers, accountants, coaches, etc.
2) People of the same age group often share similar beliefs, have had similar experiences, and have similar goals and ideas.
3) We're not as well represented in the business world as some other age groups. Retirees have the AARP, minorities have support groups, but who is going to bat for our generation(s)?
4) Contrary to common belief, our generation is both hard working and under-paid. Many social and economic experts believe that we will NOT do as well or better than our parents or predecessors did due to many factors out of our control. While many preceding generations have enjoyed the luxury of out-doing their parents in the realms of success, we are warned to lower our expectations. Really, who wants to do that?!?
5) Many young entrepreneurs have talked about going into business for themselves and they don't know where to start, or they're scared, or both. This group is designed to help overcome those obstacles.
Here's what you'll get out of this group:
1) You'll receive support from people that are facing the same challenges you are (lack of money, time starvation, lack of support, etc).
2) You'll have the opportunity to gain access to free or low cost help such as legal advice, SEO, computer help, accounting and book keeping, web design, advertising, and much more.
3) You'll get opportunities to use your gifts, skills, advice, and blessings to help someone who may be lacking those gifts, skills, and thousands of dollars to buy them.
4) You'll have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals to grow your business.
5) Best of all, you'll have the opportunity to make friends and have fun.
6) Right now, it is free to join. If we find out that we need to charge a small fee in the future to fund the group, the fee will be SMALL.
PLEASE NOTE: IN ORDER TO PROMOTE A SAFE HAVEN FOR OPEN DISCUSSION OF IDEAS, BY JOINING THIS GROUP YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE FORBIDDEN TO STEAL, COPY, OR USE ANYONE ELSE'S IDEA OR PART OF THEIR IDEA WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE EJECTED FROM THE GROUP.

Avoid business failure, improve your performance, and accelerate success in your direct selling business as a member of this direct selling peer group of direct selling professionals from Northeast Ohio. We provide an online message board and tele-seminars. Membership is FREE and open to anyone in direct selling (ie. network marketing, party plan, mlm, affiliate marketing, etc.).

In addition, you can participate in an exclusive peer group (limited to one person from any one representative company), designed in a non-competitive and supportive environment to maximize performance improvement. In this peer-to-peer structured "hand-on" peer group meeting, members share their best practices, discuss real-world issues, and help eachother improve performance. Monthly membership fee required.
OPEN events, peer group meetings, & tele-seminars are facilitated by the Direct Selling Academy, Inc. (http://www.directsellingacademy.com)
We are all here to become better prepared for all disasters of every kind, be they natural or otherwise. We can each contribute information to share with the other members of this group pertaining to ways we can deal with particular situations that may arise due to unforeseen and unexpected events that could come to pass in the future. Everyone is encouraged to share information and ask any questions concerning preparedness. That is what this group is all about. So let's get to it. ALWAYS BE PREPARED! ~TW TOP 10 MUST HAVE ITEMS

EFT is spreading around the world like wildfire! People everywhere are discovering it's power & effectiveness to help them transform themselves and their lives by getting free of their pasts. So come to learn; come to benefit from a regular practice of emotional release through acupressure. From enhancing your performance, to really believing in yourself, to moving through your life with more joy, love and presence, the effects of tapping will delight you!
And as you transform, so does your life!
I have built my reputation as a psychologist through the use of these modalities for the past 11 years. Hundreds of people have done tapping with me in that time. I've wanted to make it available to people who don't necessarily want to go into therapy, who want to increase their own toolbox of healing tools to help them navigate their lives with increasing positivity and success.
Tapping is EMPOWERING! It is the kind of healing method that you can use as part of your self care and growth routine, once you know the elements that make it most effective.
This group is for you whether you know EFT already or don't.
Say you want more abundance in your life. As we have all learned now, it's not enough to just want it, even to visualize it, you must clear your path of your doubts, fears, blocks, and obstacles of any kind. The clearer your path is, the more capacity for manifesting the life and experience you want becomes! EFT (and it's cousins) clears your path.
The EFT Tappers Group meets the 2nd through the 4th Mondays at Pure Intentions.
Come alone (you'll feel very welcomed) or bring a group of your friends and family. Come once just to try it out, or come regularly to support your efforts to heal and transform your life.
Tapping Into the Field weaves together tapping, guided imagery, vibrational medicine, and meditation to create life changing experiences that can catapult you to the life you want for yourself and your family.
The series is on-going, so you can begin at any time you'd like.
Go to
Today's Tapping (my blog site) for a video on tapping, for meditation podcasts and more.
My Nakaia website has more information about the methods that I use to help people obtain often incredible results!

Unless you have done some pretty significant research, your first question might be: What exactly IS a Libertarian? And it's a good question because there is a lot of confusion about all of the "third parties" - not just ours.
"Aren't these the potheads who want to legalize marijuana?" - That's one of my favorites and obviously the favorite of the media. In fact, whenever you see an interview with a Libertarian on the news, it's always one of the first questions. I wonder why? In fact - if this is true - then Libertarians MUST be wacko leftist liberals...
"Aren't these guys the pure free-market capitalists - where anything goes - and all government regulation is evil?" Another gem. There's nothing scary about power-hungry, ethically-deprived capitalists after all. That said, if this is true, then Libertarians MUST be wacko rightist conservatives...
"But wait... they are for gay marriage!" - they must be leftists!!!
"I know they are active in citizens' right to bear arms!" - they must be rightists!!!
"They think abortion laws shouldn't be decided at the federal level!" - they must be liberals!!!
"They think the US Constitution is the law that governs us at the federal level!" - they must be conservatives!!!
"They are against using military force for political or social gain!" - they must be Democrats!!!
"They promote fiscal responsibility and a balanced budget amendment!" - they must be Republicans!!!
So what are Libertarians? Unfortunately, we don't fit into the neat little boxes that the current, powerful parties want you to choose. In fact, most Libertarians I have met don't even agree with everything on the Libertarian Party platform!
However, we do agree on ONE thing... LIBERTY. And that is the basis for the name of our party.
We believe an individual is the best gauge for his or her own life - what they want to achieve, where they want to live and work, and what role that they want to play in a society. We also believe in your neighbor's right to do the same. Therefore, according to our belief, YOU have the right to do whatever you want to do as an adult in our society - but NOT at the expense of someone else's liberty.
And that is our view of the role of the government. ENSURE my liberty and punish those who encroach on my freedoms and harm me in the process. Of course, as pragmatists as well, we obviously recognize that society/government needs to provide things like roads, parks. police, etc.
So what about those stereotypes mentioned prior? Does that mean that they are true? Are Libertarians FOR pot smoking, winner-take-all capitalism, gay sex, gun holster-wearing wild west society, reading the Constitution like it is the Bible, limited military, slash-the-budget-and-screw-the-poor-and-disadvantaged... people? Seriously - do we need to even ask that question? Because it's a stupid question...
...and WE THE PEOPLE aren't stupid. In fact, the Libertarian Party is the ONLY party of the big three parties that doesn't insult your intelligence! Why? Because the other two parties believe that you cannot make your own choices about your life. You NEED more legislation to govern your life.
For too long we have been represented by two "big government" parties - the "conservative big government party" (aka the Republican Party) and the "liberal big government party' (aka the Democratic Party). There is NO DEBATING this... BOTH parties have held control of all three branches of the federal government at different times. BOTH parties have increased the size of the federal government EVERY YEAR, and have stripped the state and local governments' ability to govern locally. That is not how the United States is supposed to operate!
Does an INCREASING federal government give you MORE freedom, choices, opportunities and liberties... or LESS? It's not rocket science - is it?
The purpose of this group is to inform our fellow citizens of Stark County about our Party and to provide a third and viable option in the polling booth... finally! We will also educate - as well as learn from - our membership about the founding of our country, the principles and documents that forged the way for our great country, and to share the philosophy and principles of the Libertarian Party.
Join us at a meetup and meet your local libertarian citizens and see if we are on the same page. If you like it, you can get involved in the development of the party in Stark County. You can also just attend some meetings if you wish.
Or... you can just sit around and complain about the government with your friends while continuing to vote the same way you have always voted. As Dr. Phil would say, "How's that working out for you?"
It's your life, your family. your town, your county, your state, and your nation.
Do something - or do nothing. It's your choice.
We hope you'll join us at least once to check it out. You may even meet people and have fun...
Welcome to the People's Choice Poker League's "Members Only" site.
We play No-Limit Texas Hold'em and keep track of player points in a League format.
Thanks,
This group is for those of us who spend too much time in front of TV, a computer screen or on our iPads/iPhone surfing from home vicariously traveling online.
We love to travel and do weekend getaways ~ but don't always have someone to travel with?
Singles, couples, all are welcome. Let's talk travel at our meetings and together decide where our next ON THE GO travel will take us.
Let's take advantage of group travel discounts, find someone to share a hotel room or cruise cabin with, and meet new friends while exploring new destinations.
This meetup was for cricut machine owners to meetup and create a master piece together. I have met many people who bought a Cricut and now have no idea what to do with it or how to use it in there scrapbooking/Card making. That's why I why I started this group. We teach 2 (soon to be more) Cricut classes a month where you will complete a 2 page layout. In these classes you will learn blade settings, preassure settings, what's a good size, how to be more efficient with supplies & time. What all those buttons mean? And much more!
Enjoy the natural surrounding while discussing the spiritual topics that you love and get some exercise to top it all. We will pick up a metro park trail and walk every Sunday 11 am in most weather. Anyone interested in interacting with like minded spiritual seekers and enjoys walking is welcome. We are on the east side of the Cleveland so if you are on the east side then it helps. But we might be interested in exploring west side trails as well from time to time. The main idea is to get together and create a spiritually oriented group where we can discuss what is on our mind freely.
Add your spiritual energy to the group and bring any topic under the sun to talk about as long as it is related to your quest for personal and spiritual growth. We walk for around an hour with normal to leisure pace. The idea is to enjoy and connect with the natura in all different aspects and meet other interesting folks.
This is a local group dedicated to support the

Running a business is hard enough. And since God's ways are so much better than our ways, it makes sense to let HIM be CEO of our businesses. But, letting HIM take the reins isn't that easy for most of us, so let's learn how together.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.
Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong, and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This is a basic bible following, non-denominational group. We'll discuss our businesses and get prayer and scripture support for the journey.
Northern Ohio Prepper Network- Back to Basics Hello, My name is Christopher Storm. I am starting a new group dedicated to Mutual Aid, Prepping and Friendship. I am welcoming All American Citizens who are concerned about the Future of the Country, State, Economy, etc, and are concerned for the Welfare of their Families and Friends during times and/or events that qualify as a Local or National Emergencies/ Disasters. Examples- Tornado, Flood, Earthquake, Terrorist attack, Economic Depression- basically, anything that causes Distress or Harm to the Citizens of the United States and/or disrupts Public Services and what is now- day to day living. I feel that this type of group is very beneficial to everyone. Many skills and arts have been lost thanks to Betty Crocker Cake mix, Swanson TV dinners, the Microwave, and other so called technological advances. Do you see where I am going with this? Ask yourself- if you had to, could you catch and clean a fish for dinner, grind grain into flour bake bread from scratch, kill an animal, skin it and tan a hide to make clothing?? Not too many people can do any of these in the Modern American Society, especially the "city dwellers". We are all at a severely crippling disadvantage if the "Grid goes down" as is shown countless times on the Movie screen. Is it a possibility that through a Natural or "Man made" Disaster that the Power may go out? I was in Iraq during the Black out of the early 2000's. People were only inconvenienced in most places. During power outages in California and Arizona, people died of Heat Stoke when their air conditioners could not run without electricity. When you Family is hungry and the Banks are closed due to a power outage and credit card machines are off, can you buy food? Probably not. If right now, as you are reading this, a Tornado tears down the lines................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... pause for effect just to prove a point- what will you do? Is you food going to thaw in the freezer? Could you dehydrate some of it, salt the meats and dry them for later use? Would you wrap a few blankets around the freezer to help insulate it and maybe get an extra hour or 2, just long enough for the power to come back on? Would you panic? Do nothing? All members and participants should be willing to Network to share ideas, training and skills on First aid, Dehydration, Food Storage, Farming, Gardening, Native Plants both Edible and Medicinal, Canning, Hunting, Fishing, Tanning, Trapping, Tracking, Baking, Brewing etc. My plan is to teach, share and learn new and lost skills. I would eventually like to pair like minded people up into "Helper Teams" that can assist other members during times of Crisis and Emergencies. Anyone who Believes in the Boy Scout Motto- "BE PREPARED" and is willing to do just that. I hesitate to say "Survivalist" due to the Media giving such bad publicity to anyone who calls themselves a Survivalist. If you are not sure if you belong here or are unsure, just tell me your thoughts and concerns. I have been helping people and guiding people on "Preparation" for many years and someone finally coined the name "Preppers" which basically is just a way to not be called a "Survivalist", though in order to SURVIVE, you must PREPARE. My catch phrase is "DO SOMETHING" Anything you do to increase your chances of survival by "prepping" is a step in the right direction. ***This is a NON-MILITANT GROUP, I have no issues with the ownership of Firearms. We will talk about how to protect yourself, but will not make it a main focal point. I personally believe that not only does everyone have the "RIGHT" to own a Gun, but everyone should be encouraged to own one and know how to use it safely and properly. With this being said, This is is no way, shape or form to be considered a Militia. I believe in the "GOOD GUY" Militias, but this is the wrong type of group for the "shoot 'em up guys"- SORRY. Thank you for your interest. The group will be talking via phone, Internet, and in person at least once per month. Sincerely, Christopher Storm Remember- DO SOMETHING!!

"No other card game combines the elements of skill, psychology and chance as successfully as Skat." --Joe Wergin, author
Welcome to Northeast Ohio's online home for Skat! Skat is the King of Card Games, unique in its ability to rival both the thrill and calculated risk taking of poker and the skill level and concentration demands of contract bridge! The Cleveland Skat Club is a group of regular Skat players devoted to the enjoyment of the game in a league-style competitive setting. We are similar to other leagues (golf, bowling, bridge, etc.) except that we play a much more interesting game!
We are an organized Skat club whose goals are to:
Recruit and teach newer players who already love to play card games and are looking for a new and exciting challenge and meeting like-minded people.
Promote the regular and competitive play of Skat through an organized competitive league with weekly meetings and occasional tournaments.
Develop our regular players into excellent competitors who can compete in tournaments organized by the International Skat Players Association throughout North America and the rest of the world.
Form and nurture lasting friendships among our players while promoting the highest levels of sportsmanship and fellowship.
Have fun playing a fantastic game of cards!
New to Skat? If you grew up here in North America, you may never have even have heard of the game. But if you love playing cards, there is a very good chance you will enjoy playing Skat. If you are a numbers-oriented, strategy-minded, puzzle-solving type of card player, there is an excellent chance you will enjoy Skat.
Want to learn more? If you don't know how to play, come to one of our "Skat School" nights and we'll show you the rules and the basic strategies.
Are you already a seasoned player? Come to one of our "Club Nights" and take on our tournament-caliber players. Club nights are played by International Skat Order (ISO) rules. These rules allow for no kontra/rekontra, no ramsch, but we do play these variations for social games. As a group we occasionally dabble in variations such as Pub Skat, Bauern Skat, Texas Skat, American (Tournee) Skat, Danish Skat, Spitze and Schieberamsch. Many of our members also enjoy playing Sheepshead.
Come join us for a new and exciting card playing experience!
A group for people of African descent with a creative flavor - writers, visual artists, crafters, musicians, poets, fashion designers, and any one with an open mind and an expressive soul. Come for inspiration, guided exercises, help with creative blocks, feedback on works in progress, new connections, collaboration, commiseration, and whatever else you need to keep your creative spark burning!
This meet up is simply an opportunity for anyone to enjoy the benefits of meditating in a group. It is a short meet up consisting of 20 minutes of basic meditation followed by offering positive general intentions from group members to help ourselves, our community, our country, and our world. The intentions must be positive and general. An example is the intention of healing.
Please feel free to bring a pillow, blanket, or device that will help you feel comfortable for the 20 minute mediation. 20 minutes can seem like a long time for a first time mediator, so please be ready for it. The goal is to feel comfortable and to keep your mind clear, free, and present.
Sept. 18-Nov. 6, 2011
The skills you will be learning and developing come from the Buddhist meditative traditionwhere it has been known for centuries that the sustained practice of mindfulness can have profoundly healing and transformative
effects in one's life. This program offers you the opportunity to learn mindfulness meditation skills without needing to engage with the cultural or religious aspects of Buddhism. This course is based on a program originallydeveloped by Jon Kabat-Zinn and colleagues, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, USA, for hospital outpatients— Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. It also draws on Mindfulness Based CognitiveTherapy research (Segal et al.,2002) which has grown out of Kabat-Zinn's work.
Julianne's trainings include professional training for MBSR under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli, and completion of Practicum in MBSR and Teacher Development Intensive from the Center for Mindfulness, Worcester, Massachusetts, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification Yoga Alliance in 2001 with Integrative Yoga Therapy, one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education, and a Master's degree in Counseling from University of Akron. She has been facilitating MBSR classes since 2007.
This is an 8-week class with an all-day silent retreat. The cost for the entire class, all materials (3 CD's, workbook) and retreat to be held at Hines Hill Conference Center is $275.00

This group exists to promote local networking opportunities and Rainmaker's suite of workshops designed for personal and professional development. The overall goal is to create positive change for individuals, businesses and the local community.
I decided to start this group to bring together positive, health conscious, friendly people together. The purpose of this group is to have fun!!!!! Meet new people and experience life!!!! Anyone should join who likes to have Fun!!! Someone who wants to become healthy or is healthy and enjoys spending time with like minded individuals!!!
Meet with local parents who are interested in a local Playgroup for you and your child! This is a wonderful group that we have. We also have a Moms/Parents Night out once a month. We are ALWAYS open to suggestions for activities. We try to have at least 2 playgroups a week. This group is all about events! We enjoy creating and participating in unique, fun and educational adventures with our kids. Our events are SAH and working parent-friendly. Events will take place at various times to accomodate all schedules. Playgroups are held at different locations throughout Stark and Summit County. We also take a few "trips" to Cleveland, Akron, Medina, Green, Navarre, Strausburg, Hartville, Uniontown and New Philadelphia as well for various events. We're not limited to just one area.
We will participate in many types of activities and events and love to get new ideas. Here is just a small list of things we do: zoos, parks, tours, home play dates, swimming, museums, and community events. We also organize Moms' Night Out, Couple's Night Out and Family Day/Night Out events. We include our hubbies in a lot of our events so that we eventually all know one another.
This is a laid back easy group. We don't have lots of "rules" and regulations like some other groups. Welcome to our support group for Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses! The shunning practice of the WT organization is wrong and needs to come to an end! Until it does, there are MANY people out there that are lost, lonely and confused. Some have managed to move on with their lives and never look back . . . for others their experiences have been more than they can bare.
It is normal to experience social shock, emotional disturbances, physical ailments, memory problems, financial devastation, homelessness, disbelief in religion, disbelief in God, difficulties with prayer and trust issues with future relationships, when coming out of a cult.
JW Survivor Support Groups offer the social and emotional encouragement needed to move on with your life. Please join us and feel free to bring a guest or two. Love, jw survivor

This group is for those interested in Street Combatives; CQC, Close Quarter Combatives; Combative Knife). (THIS GROUP IS NOT THE GAME,, BUT REAL STREET COMBATIVES)
Todays streets are dangerous, especially in our cities. In the real world, the first two to three seconds of an attack are the most crucial and the most deadly. You must be able to immediately fight back with enough force and effectiveness to stop the attack. When attacked, YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR YOUR LIFE.
LMI Incorporation has engineered a Combative system called; Integrated Street Combatives. This is a well faceted integrated combative system which emphasizes a combat mindset and a simple ideology; ATTACK YOUR ATTACKER. When attacked, you must immediately and vigorously attack you attacker, targeting vital organs, their nervous system and their physical structure (bones, muscles, etc)
LMIs Integrated Street Combative System teaches techniques that are aggressive and depends only on gross motor skills and have been proven to be easy to remember, easy to apply under pressure and have been street tested to be effective. LMIs Integrated Street Combative System was built for the streets. It is based on a few simple but dynamic foundations that cover both standing and ground combatives.
LMI does not teach techniques that require fine integrate movements or a series of multiple movements in order for you to stop an attacker. Under pressure when your heart starts racing, your body will go into survival mode where only large gross movements prevail. These are the movements that LMI teaches. It must work under pressure for it to work on the streets.
In the real world, there are no referees making sure that every one is playing by the same rules because on the streets; THERE ARE NO RULES,, and you must cheat to stay alive.
With all combative training, the most important and most dangerous weapon that a person
can posses is a properly trained and conditioned mind, we call it Having a Warrior Mindset.
Having a Warrior mindset is essential to winning a lethal attack. Building this mindset is the main objective in the training at LMI.
LMI Specializes in Street Combatives including
Close Quarter Combatives
Combative Knife
Combative Pistol
Combative Shotgun
Combative Rifle
LMI is looking for like minded individuals to meet and talk with, as well train and share ideas with.

Joan "Taj" Leppla, M.Ed. is an educator, facilitator, health counselor, and healing arts practitioner. She works with others in co-creating a spirit-filled existence where all life is respected and recognized as Divine purpose. A lifelong lover of nature, health enthusiast, and perpetual spiritual seeker Taj recognizes that behind nature is a living reality that is waiting to be engaged by us humans. Her conviction, that most if not all of our problems stem from the fact that we have become severely disconnected from nature, both within and without, has resulted in the creation of Where Earth Meets Spirit Healing Arts whose purpose is to help others reconnect with nature and heal the disconnection that separates us from the living reality of the Web of Life for the benefit of all inhabitants of the planet. Taj's style of working is practical, bringing awareness, healing, and integration to all levels of being. She helps others recognize the interplay of the material and spiritual worlds, reconcile the personal and collective, and unite the immanent and transcendent dimensions of reality.
We are a network of neighborhood-Suburban gardeners. Our goal is to share the pride and reward of growing your own vegetable garden, doesn't matter how big, how small, or what you grow as long as you take pride in your work. We meet to discuss the importance of healthy diets, how suburban growing can create sustainable communities, better use of energy, etc. Meetings will most likely be at a gardener's home (voluntarily of course) and members will be encouraged to share the fruits of their labor. This group is not about entrepreneurship, capitalism, or politics. It's about how life should be, was before, when people took care of their land and their bodies and didn't depend on corporate giants to provide fresh food on their tables. If you simply share my passion then you can consider yourself a member, and no- you don't need to have a garden to join. Together we can spread the message and turn every backyard into a prosperous garden. Let's take charge of what we eat!
Anyone who is interested in crochet, who crochets now or wishes to learn, beginner to advanced, child to retiree, can join up and help me create a local community.
My purpose for starting this is simple - I'm seeking others in my area with a similar interest. Our purpose as I see it is simply to be able to meet others, socialize, sound-off about current projects (or current outside issues that drive us to our hooks..)...I hope we can create a group that enjoys getting together to yack and hook, without needing to do hors d'oeuvres (yes I had to look that up) and fancy little napkins, just people getting together casually.
For Events call: 440-582-2982, or check out our website at: www.PlanandProsper.com
Our Intention is to bring Businesses, Clients, Friends and Customers together to share ideas, knowledge, and discuss every day life issues. Plan and Prosper is a networking group hosting different seminar series with special quest speakers and community leaders, who share their beliefs on politics, finance, success, family values, and an abundant life. We add value to our community by giving the best educational and informative presentations and workshops.
Tiny Tots Playtime is designed for tots and moms/dads to meetup and PLAY in the Louisville and surrounding area! Here we are all about fun. From sunny day trips to the zoo and playtime at the parks to winter in home playdates, we have something for everyone. We encourage your feedback so this group will become what the members need and want. Once a month we will have a moms night out - ex. Movie night, dinner out, mani/pedis etc. This is about fun and what you want. I look forward to meeting you!
My family just moved here from Massachusetts. We have lived in Strongsville for 1 month. Our daughter Melina just turned 9 months and I thought organizing a group would be a great way to meet other Moms and have play dates with my daughter.
I am currently a stay at home mom and I have never organized a group before so it is super casual. I thought meeting for coffee for adult conversation would be fun, getting together at my house or yours, taking a trip to the mall and if we're brave maybe get a mani or pedi someday!
So if you are looking to meet new people for you and your little angels, hanging in or meeting out (which some of us don't get to do much), then this group is for you.
I am really anxious to get started. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
Leah

You can bring your child and relax, have coffee, maybe play games, discuss books, whatever we decide. The location can change but will always be close by.

I decided to begin this group because I would really enjoy coming together with other parents who are also interested in an holistic approach to health and wellness within their families. The vision that I have for a group like this would be for a community where there are insightful discussions, a place to share events and information that support an enjoyable healthy lifestyle and expanding awareness of holistic practices available to us all. Anyone who is interested and inspired by meeting others like I've described or getting involved in a this kind of supportive community is welcomed and encouraged to join in on any of the meetups I've added to this calendar!

The Constitution of the United States is the cornerstone of our American government. In 4,543 words this document describes the structure of the government and the rights of the American people.
How well do you know this very important document? Do you know what it means to be a Constitutional Republic? What are inherent rights and self government? What is the history of this amazing document and what was our Founding Fathers' intent and vision for America when they drafted it?
If you need clarification on any of the above questions and agree there is a lot of valuable American history hidden in plain view, this is the meetup for you. The purpose of this non-partisan, educational group is for interested people to come together to learn, discuss and better understand our country's founding documents and principles.
Join us!

This is a group for adult women with asperger's syndrome. It's not therapy. It's not a support group for parents with aspie kids. It is a group where women with aspergers and some desire to be amongst their own kind can talk about topics of interest, let their guard down a little, and practice their crappy social skills. I can't believe I'm doing this.

I'm the proud mom of a 29 week preemie turned one year old wonder boy. None of our friends have experienced the preemie journey, so I thought it would be nice to meet a group of people who could get together casually for a play group or just to socialize. I live in Strongsville, but would be open to traveling throughout Cleveland to meet up, maybe once a month or for special occasions like the March of Dimes. Any parents of preemie children can join!
